ST. PARK YURTS- Its round (16’ in diameter), filled with comfy
furniture, and pointy on top. Yurts are a quickly growing national phenomenon
that broke in to the public camping scene right here in Oregon.
Features include: futon sofa, sleeps five, single/double-sized bunk bed,
coffee table, heat, lights, electricity, outdoor fire pit and picnic table,
venting skylight, and locking door. You
must bring your own bedding, food, dishes, and the basic camping equipment.
There are a handful of places to reserve a yurt, Beachside, Beverly
Beach, Bullards Beach, Cape Lookout, Devil’s Lake, Fort Stevens, Harris Beach,
Honeymoon, Nehalem Bay, South Beach, Sunset Bay, Tugman, Umpqua Lighthouse, and
Washburne. Available late spring
through fall, and check time is 4 p.m., checkout at 1 p.m.
